OA Sotheby’s recognizes 2013 top producing Realtors
Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty recently honored its 2013 Top Producing Realtors, a prestigious group which includes Kim Hamer, Barrows & Associates, The Oldfather Group, Anne Powell and Jen Hughes.
“We are excited to end 2013 on a high note,” said Justin Healy, OASIR broker. “Our company’s market share in coastal Delaware increased 44 percent over 2012 with over $220 million in property transactions. We achieved a 610 percent increase in property sales over $1 million, and having an exceptional team of professionals has really enabled us to take advantage of the market recovery.”
Hamer received recognition as the company’s Top Producing Realtor for 2013. This is the fifth consecutive year she has achieved the No. 1 ranking at the brokerage. She sold $36 million in real estate over the past 12 months, consistently ranks in the top 10 out of 1,100 Realtors in Sussex County, and has received the Delaware Today 5 Star Realtor Award since its inception. Hamer brings superior marketing and customer service to the OASIR sales team as a result of her 13-year position in corporate banking with MBNA America.
“I am dedicated to personally helping buyers and sellers successfully meet their real estate goals,” said Hamer. “Sotheby’s global and innovative marketing expertise is invaluable in meeting these challenges.” In addition, Hamer is the listing agent for Bethany Woods, a private community located between Fresh Pond State Park and the Salt Pond in Bethany.
The Oldfather Group’s impressive 2013 performance secured them one of the brokerage’s Top Producing Team awards, as well as a spot as one of the top 10 Realtors in Sussex County. The team successfully closed 85 transactions valued at more than $30 million in 2013, with 23 additional settlements already on the books for early 2014. The group now includes recently promoted Chief Buyer Consultant Adam Linder, who has helped select and train four new agents - Jamie Haldas, Nancy Capps, Celia Benjamin and Donna Atsidis. Chuck Seaman, who sold 20 homes in 2013, is focusing on listings and, along with Amy Pietlock, will be taking on more responsibilities in 2013. Grace Nelson, Cheryl Vogl and Janice Fendrock round out the team and will continue providing client support and exceeding expectations.
"This is an exciting time for real estate, as the market continues to climb,” said Dustin Oldfather. “We are so blessed to work with such an amazing group of people, which allowed us all to meet our goal of helping 100 families buy or sell in 2013. Hopefully, we can assist even more good people next year." One of the fastest-growing Realtor teams in the county, The Oldfather Group is poised to help well over a hundred clients buy or sell homes in 2014.
Barrows and Associates were also named one of the brokerage’s Top Producing Teams in 2013. The team successfully negotiated 51 property transactions worth more than $27 million, rank in the top 10 of all Realtors in Sussex County, and have also been named Delaware Today Five Star Realtors since the award origination. They have more than 20 years' combined experience in the real estate industry and have been with OASIR since 2008.
“We strongly believe 2014 is going to be a fantastic year for real estate; however, it will continue to present its own unique challenges as our market remains in transition. We have been successful in this type of transitional market in the past but realize it takes great care, knowledge, and experience to generate the best outcome for both our buyers and sellers,” said Jenn Barrows. “In the past year we’ve consistently sold properties 33 percent faster than the market average and for significantly more money than the current market. We are especially excited to bring our successful strategies to clients looking to sell this year,” added Brian Barrows.
Powell and Hughes received the Top Producers award for the Bethany office of OASIR. Since joining the brokerage in March 2013, the duo has made a substantial impact on the market, successfully negotiating 34 transactions valued at more than $12 million. In addition to her award-winning year, Powell is president-elect of the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce. “We are immersed in the southern Delaware real estate market, passionate about the people and places here, and delighted to see a marked improvement in sales and showings across all property price ranges,” said Powell. “We are excited about our inaugural year at Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s and have found it fits well with our brand image and the professionalism we bring to every transaction.”
“Economic indicators lead us to believe the housing market will continue to recover in 2014,” said Healy. “We remain dedicated to providing all of our clients with personalized marketing plans for their properties combined with the widest possible local, national, and global marketing exposure, with a focus on exceptional customer service. We are sincerely grateful to our clients and colleagues for a terrific 2013 and are looking forward to a busy and successful 2014!”
