Trail work progressing at Cape Henlopen

Last Saturday, in advance of the coming storm, contractors continued installing the substructure for the boardwalk that will carry the linking trail between Gordons Pond and Herring Point over a section of marsh. Cape Henlopen State Park.  From western Sussex County, the young men said their deadline for completion of the project is May 5.

"This winter's weather hasn't been real good for your work," I said.

"No, it sure hasn't," said one in reply.

I guess that's why they were working on the weekend.  When you work outside you have to  make progress when conditions permit, not according to a schedule that depends on what day of the week it is.
