Robert A. Gallo, American Legion cook

Robert A. Gallo, 47, of Millsboro, formerly of Philadelphia, Pa., passed away Monday, March 3, 2014, at his home.

Robert was born in Philadelphia June 17, 1966, son of Robert Frank Gallo and the late Rita (Karbowa) Gallo. He was a cook who had worked at AMVETS Post 2 in Millsboro and the American Legion Post 28 in Millsboro.

He is survived by his father, Robert Frank Gallo and his wife Carolyn of Millsboro; a daughter, Melissa Gallo of Pemberton, N.J.; a brother, Joseph Gallo of Ephrata, Pa.; a sister, Geraldine Hynes and her husband Kenny of Cinnaminson, N.J.; two nephews, Joseph Michael Gallo and Sean Hynes; and a niece, Nicole Gallo.

A prayer service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 7, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where friends and family may call after 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private.
