Becker, Osler, Morgan take office in Lewes

May 23, 2014

Ted Becker was officially sworn in as mayor of Lewes at a city council meeting May 19. He was followed by Rob Morgan and Bonnie Osler, who took the oath of office together and will serve on city council for the next two years.

Filling Becker's vacant deputy mayor position is Councilman Fred Beaufait. He is the most senior member of council after Becker, having been elected in 2011 and reelected last year. Becker named Councilman Dennis Reardon secretary and Osler as treasurer.

Morgan, the newcomer to council, was appointed ex-officio member to the parks and recreation commission and the bicycle and pedestrian safety committee. He will also serve with Reardon as liaison to the Lewes Library Board and the Sussex County Council.
