Anna Marsh Nelson, known for hospitality
Anna Lucille Marsh Nelson, 90, of Milton, passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, at the Milford Center.
Born in Farmers Valley, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Cecil Marsh and Lillian (Gallop) Marsh.
Anna worked for the Bradford City Treasure Office and Dresser Manufacturing before starting her life as a homemaker. She leaves to her memory her husband of 67 years, Floyd "Gus" Nelson Jr. Anna loved hosting summer family reunions and was known for her hospitality. She enjoyed being outdoors, at her husband's side building not only their lives together, but all their owned homes as well.
They traveled throughout the U.S. and spent many winters in Florida. After settling in Delaware Anna continued her deep faith and participation as a Jehovah Witness and on sunny days you could find her in the bay clamming or enjoying her back porch.
In addition to her husband, there are countless people whose life she had touched. She is survived by Floyd (Kathy) Nelson III of Gifford, Pa., Melvin (Phobie) Nelson of Eldred, Pa., Judy (George) George of Lancaster, Pa., and Joann (John) Wallett of Milton; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Anna was proceeded in death by sons Jerry Nelson and Rodney Nelson
Anna's service will be private. Her remains will be resting in the hills of Pennsylvania.
