Harry 'Claytie' Burton III, owned trucking company

Harry C. “Claytie” Burton III, 81, of Millsboro, passed away at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014.

Claytie was born April 7, 1933, in Harbeson, to the late Harry C. Burton Jr. and Anna Street Burton.

Claytie owned and operated Burton Trucking Company with a fleet of 16 trucks. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of the Delaware Trucker’s Association. His home church was Israel United Methodist Church.

He leaves to mourn his devoted wife of 60 years, June Burton; a son, Clay Burton; daughter-in law, Debby Burton, MD; a daughter, Venita BurtonTaylor; son-in law Mike Taylor; two grandchildren, Jasmine and Courtney Burton; one brother Kenn Burton. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Memorial services will be held in November.
