Beebe Healthcare Honors Radiologist Frances Esposito, MD, with the Standards of Excellence Award

Beebe Healthcare has recognized Frances Esposito, MD, for her commitment to clinical excellence and for her contributions to healthcare by honoring her with the organization’s Standards of Excellence Award.

Jacquelyn O. Wilson, EdD, Board Vice Chair of Beebe Healthcare, and Jeffrey M. Fried, FACHE, President and CEO of Beebe Healthcare, presented the award at the third annual New Provider Reception and Physician Awards dinner event.

Dr. Esposito, who is Board Certified in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, has served for 10 years as the Chair of the Department of Radiology.  She was President of the Medical Staff for two years and has been the Chair of the Credentials Committee for the past four years. She joined Beebe Medical Staff 22 years ago in 1992.

The Standards of Excellence Award is based on several factors, including patient satisfaction scores, patient outcomes, and the physician’s commitment and participation with colleagues on hospital committees, performance improvement projects, workgroups and other forums focusing on improving overall patient care.

Mr. Fried emphasized the importance that physicians play in Beebe’s ability to provide safe and quality care to its patients. He cited the many awards that Beebe has received in recent years.

Beebe Healthcare also recognized emergency medicine physician Douglas B. Allen, DO, and podiatrist James Palmer, DPM, for 25 years of service as members of the Beebe Medical Staff.

Tommy Cooper, Chair of the Beebe Medical Foundation, presented a gift to Greg Bahtiarian, MD, for his years of service on the Beebe Medical Foundation Board. Dr. Bahtiarian’s wife Ellen Bahtiarian, MD, accepted the award in his absence. It was announced that Mouhanad Freih, MD, will be joining the Board.

Jeffrey E. Hawtof, MD, FAAFP, Vice Present of Medical Operations and Informatics, who hosted the evening, thanked everyone for coming.

“Tonight we gather to meet and greet our providers who have joined our medical staff since last year,” he said, calling out the names of the 38 new members and asking them to stand.
