Gary's Dewey Beach Grill held its sixth annual Dewey Beach Brewfest April 18. More than 30 breweries were represented at the event.
Money raised by this year's event is going to the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays.
Gary Cannon, Gary's owner, said he expected to donate $3,000 to $4,000 to the center.
Cannon said the brewfest is a great way for the restaurant to work with different organizations. In the past, the event has benefited Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk Buddy Walk and Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.
It's a great way to drink some beers during the day and to help good organizations, he said.
Sally Boswell, education and outreach coordinator for the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays, said the organization was pleased Gary's had chosen it to support this year. She was surprised by the event's turnout.
"By all appearances it was highly successful," she said.
