East Millsboro students win American Legion Auxiliary essay contest

American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28 awarded certificates of appreciation and $25 gift cards to the winners of this year’s essay contest with the theme 'What Does Freedom Mean to My Family'? All were East Millsboro Elementary School third-grade students who were encouraged to enter by their teacher Karen Saylor.
Unit 28 Americanism Chair Beth McGinn presented the awards and thanked the third-graders for their participation. Shown are (l-r) Karen Saylor, Dedeepyasri Checka, Madison Wells and Beth McGinn.
