LYC holds junior sailing regatta

Many future Zac and Abby Sunderlands sailed around the Delaware Bay July 16, as the Lewes Yacht Club hosted its junior sailing regatta.

Sailors from LYC along with North East River Yacht Club, Severn Sailing Association and Tred Avon Yacht Club from Maryland competed in 420's, Laser and Opti races for prizes and bragging rights among the competing clubs in the Chesapeake Bay Yacht Racing Association.

Results:

C420's - first place - Liz Hauschild (skipper) and Brock Diaz (crew) - Lewes Yacht Club

Second place - Brad White (Skipper) and Will Hearn (crew) - LYC

Laser Radial - first place - Noah Kullman - Tred Avon Yacht Club

Second place - Coleman Walker - TAYC

Third place - Andrew Malinowski - LYC

Optimist Blue - first place - Skylor Sweet - North East River Yacht Club

Second place - Adison Parish - TAYC

Third place - William Wrightson - TAYC

Optimist Red - first place - Mark M. Bourdin - TAYC

Second place - Ian Ronald - NERYC

Third place - Ryan Stephens - TAYC

Optimist White - first place - Philip Ralph - TAYC
