Jamie E. Davidson, former DNREC employee
Jamie Elizabeth Davidson, 38, of Harbeson, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, July 30, 2015. She was born in Wilmington, daughter of Harry Robert Miller of Rehoboth Beach, and Faith Joan (Haas) Lynch of Harbeson.
Ms. Davidson was a member of the Cape Henlopen High School graduating class of 1995. She attended the Florida Institute of Technology and completed her bachelor of science degree in marine biology at Salisbury State University in 1999.
Ms. Davidson formerly worked for Merck in Millsboro, and also with the State of Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control in the water testing division, prior to going on disability.
She loved nature, the water, and especially studying whales and dolphins.
Other enjoyable pastimes of Ms. Davidson's were spending time on the local waters fishing or picking up her paint brush and expressing her creativity on canvas.
Jamie was predeceased by her grandparents, Jim and Betty Haas.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Davidson is survived by her daughter, Serenity Davidson at home; her fiancé Tony Maurino of Lewes; stepfather, Lester Lynch of Harbeson; half sister, Lauren Payne and her husband Casey of Gorgia; two half brothers, Michael Miller of New Castle and Harry Robert Miller Jr. and his wife Rebecca of Abingdon, Md.; two aunts, Susan Miller and her husband Paul of Delaware and Debbie Haas of delaware; three uncles, Jimmie Haas of Florida, Keith Haas and his wife Lisa of Delaware, and Mark Haas and his wife Donna of South Carolina; and numerous cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 11 a.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may call beginning at 10 a.m. Friends may also call at the funeral home Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. Interment will immediately follow the funeral services at Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton.
