Rob Nicholson is Troy Ventures director of business development
Troy Ventures announces Rob Nicholson as its director of business development. Nicholson brings a diverse background and strong passion for technology to the team. While traveling the world as a meteorologist in the Navy, he worked extensively with complex environmental modeling software, satellite technologies and radar systems.
After his honorable discharge from the Navy, Nicholson followed his childhood dream and started a photography business based in Lewes. His high-touch customer service and technology-driven business resulted in dozens of awards, being published in several magazines and over 100 commissions including private events in Jamaica with Prince Charles.
In 2011, Nicholson decided to finish his degree and further his education. He moved his family to San Diego and served as an internet marketing consultant and speaker in the photography industry. Upon completion of his bachelor’s degree, he attended a nine-month Navy Reserve weather forecasting school in Mississippi. Shortly after, Nicholson received his commission as a Navy Reserve oceanography officer and moved back to Lewes after accepting a job at the area’s top web technology company.
Nicholson says he is pleased to be a part of team at Troy Ventures. He said, “I’m excited to join the team and contribute to their existing momentum. This position will allow me to focus on building the area's tech culture and collaborate on regional technology initiatives.” For more information, go to www.securenetmd.com.
