Jefferson, Urian, Doane and Sterner staff participates in Habitat build day
Jefferson, Urian, Doane and Sterner PA staff participated in an onsite build day in Ellendale in partnership with Sussex County Habitat for Humanity. Workers from the accounting firm's three offices in Dover, Georgetown and Ocean View took part.
Onsite build days are an opportunity to gather volunteers from local businesses and feature the work Habitat for Humanity does in the community, while assisting with important building projects the organization has set up. JUDS volunteers had the opportunity to participate in installing sheathing, building a deck, painting and landscaping at two different Habitat for Humanity homes. JUDS had 33 staff members volunteer with the organization. Lunch was donated by Arena’s in Milford.
This is the second year JUDS has participated in an onsite build day. “This is an opportunity for our company to partner with a great organization within our community and to give back. We really enjoyed ourselves and are already looking forward to next year,” said JUDS President David Doane. Sussex County Habitat for Humanity has built over 90 homes since its start in the Georgetown area in 1991.
