Virtuoso guitarist Nick Kane to perform at Bethany Blues in Lewes Nov. 27

Nick Kane, a Grammy Award-winning virtuoso guitarist out of Nashville, will be making his Delaware debut at 8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 27, at Bethany Blues, 18385 Coastal Highway, Lewes.

Few musicians have the instrumental ferocity and artistic vision of Nick Kane. He has a natural command of rock, pop, country, blues and psychedelia - with an equally broad scope as a songwriter and producer. He has gained that creative perspective via decades of performing on stages around the world and from his innate drive to defy limitations and push the envelope.

The respected Nashville-based veteran is best known for his work with country hit-makers The Mavericks, with gold and platinum albums to show for his tenure. In recent years, he has led his own ensembles, like the blues-rock-fueled Nick Kane Band and his instrumental rock trio The Balls.

His biting, daredevil approach has earned him comparisons to “a pissed-off Dick Dale,” and he’s frequently noted for the edgy rock flavor he brings to his deepest blues playing.
