Centre Ice Rink to present ‘Snoopy’s Holiday Surprise’ Dec. 4-5
The Centre Ice Rink at Delaware State Fair in Harrington is ushering in the holidays with Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang in “Snoopy’s Holiday Surprise,” set for 6 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4, and 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5.
The show features an original holiday story choreographed with a variety of familiar music including well-known Peanuts piano themes. Performing will be approximately 70 local skaters of all ages and levels including members of the Bay County Figure Skating Club, and students and coaches from the rink’s skating programs.
Featured skaters include Sequoia Bernard as Charlie Brown, Jasmyn Breck as Meghan Trainor, Isabella Garland as Woodstock, Emily Joseph as Sally, Katherine Kotsifakis as Schroeder, Samantha Lee as Snoopy, Erin Moffett as Marcy, Makenna Mounts as the Little Red-Haired Girl, Kelly Rearic as Lucy, Olivia Rexrode as Peppermint Patty, Mia Roberts as Belle, Syerra Smith as Pig Pen, Jecilyn Stanley as Linus, Mikaela Smith as Frieda, Rorie Tressel as FiFi and Kelsey Weston as Violet. Coaches performing are Tom Harrison, Laura Jamieson and Skating Director Jerry Santoferrara.
The cast also includes Ashlanda Bannerman, Ashley Crockett, Kaidon Chowdhry, Kalei Chowdhry, Mylei Chowdhry, Jocelyn Clark, Charlotte Del Rossi, Nicholas Del Rossi, Paisley Garland, Sophia Garland, Anneliese Hatfield, Victoria Jordan, Sydney Keninitz, Victoria Lingo, Isabella Metz, Sam Metz, Ramzee Miller, Karen Moffett, Paul Moffett, Peyton Moore, Cindy Mullarkey, Carmen Natrin, Maria Natrin, Linda Nelson, Lexi Nicholson, Julian Rexrode, Rylee Ridgely, Monica Stecher, Sofia Stecher-Roberts, Karra Subrick, Alexis Towery, Carissa Towery, Dan Towery, Jared Towery, Cheyanne Turner, Taylor Walls, Jean Watson, Delaney Westoff, Macy Wheatley, Joanna Wilson, Braxton Wood, Beckett Woodworth and Isabella Woodworth.
The show will also feature previews of 1st State Ice Theatre’s competitive programs for the 2015-16 season, which will culminate in competing at Theatre on Ice Nationals in Alabama in June. Coached by Jerry Santoferrara and Tom Harrison, 1st State Ice Theatre has an adult team and an open team.
The adult team from 1st State Ice Theatre will perform a preview of their choreographic program. Adult team members are Debby Boyer, Jasmyn Breck, Andi Coyle, Ashley Crockett, Ellen Dunkel, Janice Haney, Tom Harrison, Heather Hilgar, Karen Minor, Karen Moffett, Paul Moffett, Cindy Mullarkey, Francesca Sampogna, Jerry Santoferrara, Mikaela Smith and Monica Stecher.
The open team will perform a preview of their choreographic program. The open team members are Jocelyn Clark, Charlotte Del Rossi, Nicholas Del Rossi, Emily Joseph, Sydney Keninitz, Samantha Lee, Ramzee Miller, Erin Moffett, Makenna Mounts, Kelly Rearic, Olivia Rexrode, Mia Roberts, Syerra Smith, Jecilyn Stanley, Kelsey Weston and Braxton Wood.
“Snoopy’s Holiday Surprise” is directed by Santoferrara, a figure skating professional with more than 25 years' experience coaching at the University of Delaware High Performance Figure Skating Center, and Harrison, who has been coaching at the Centre Ice Rink for over 10 years. Choreographers also include coaches Sequoia Bernard, Chelsea Bowman, Laura Jamieson and Mallory Metzner.
