Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company installs officers for 2016

The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company installed its 2016 officers Dec. 27. Chatham Marsch, a Lewes police officer, was installed as fire chief. Ronnie Blizzard, a Rehoboth-area builder, was installed as company president.

The other fire line officers are William (Jeff) Blizzard, deputy chief; Leonard Marsch, first assistant chief; Ralph Karl, second assistant chief; Craig Farren, third assistant chief; Donald Mitchell Jr., chief engineer; Vaughn McCabe and Charles Clark as captains; and Howard Blizzard as safety officer.

The other elected administrative officers are Daniel Mitchell, vice president; Dawn Lynch, secretary; Richard Mitchell Jr., assistant secretary; Ted Doyle, treasurer; Rob Dobak, assistant treasurer; and Chuck Snyder as executive member.

President Blizzard said, "I am also looking forward to the success of our capital campaign to offset the cost of the new Station 2 on Airport Road.” Chief Marsch said his goals for 2016 are to continue to provide the best fire, rescue and EMS service to the citizens and visitors of the Rehoboth Beach. The fire company provides emergency services to incorporated areas of Rehoboth Beach, Henlopen Acres and Dewey Beach as well as the non-incorporated areas along the Route 1 and Route 24 corridors out to and including the Angola area.
