Take 2 plays benefit for Rylie's Smile

January 25, 2016

Take 2 performed at a benefit concert for Rylie's Smile Foundation at Cape Henlopen High School auditorium Jan 8. Best known by their fans as Take 2, 18-year-old twins Adrian and Julian Woodrow are embarking on the Dream BIG Tour, traveling across 10,000 miles to perform 275 concerts for over 100,000 students to help schools raise money and awareness for music education programs.

Rylie’s Smile Foundation gives Apple iPod Touches to children facing life-threatening diseases or situations where a child spends a significant amount of time in the hospital. Studies of music as a form of therapy have shown the positive impact on a child’s well-being. Music promotes, maintains and restores psychological, physical, emotional and spiritual health.

These Apple iPod Touches can provide an outlet for expression, relaxation, stimulation, and communication for children to escape from their harsh reality. The nonprofit foundation was the creation of Rehoboth Beach resident Rylie Maedler, 10, who wanted to help children who faced lengthy hospital stays find comfort after undergoing extensive medical procedures herself.
