Alyson Engle Joins Body Shop Fitness Team!
Alyson M. Engle, MArch, MS, CHES, RYT, CPT
Originally from Delaware, Alyson relocated from Bethesda, MD to Rehoboth Beach in September 2014. Alyson is a yoga instructor at Dimitra Yoga in Lewes, DE and works full time as a client relationship manager/wellness consultant for Envolve PeopleCare. At Envolve, she helps her corporate clients across the United States reduce their population’s health risks through healthy behavior change programs.
Alyson is an avid yogi, surfer, swimmer, runner, and photographer who has played a wide range of sports. Growing up, Alyson played both field hockey and lacrosse for Wilmington Friends School before heading off to play Division I lacrosse for Cornell University. When Alyson wasn’t vacationing in Rehoboth Beach, she spent her summers swimming competitively and playing tennis in Kennett Square, PA. Alyson has taught yoga, cardio, strength training and wellness classes as part of the curriculum at the University of Delaware and recently provided yoga instruction for the Cape Henlopen girl’s lacrosse team. When she isn’t working, Alyson enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, dancing, paddle boarding, traveling to ski, surf, and shoot photography and playing with her dog Molly on the beach. Alyson recently became certified as a personal trainer through ACSM and is excited to help clients meet their own personal goals in order to live a healthier lifestyle.
Alyson holds a Master of Science in Health Promotion (MS) from the University of Delaware, a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago (MArch), a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Cornell University (BA), and is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT).
