8 Great Mobile Apps to Enhance Your Rehoboth Beach Experience
Rehoboth Beach has a long history spanning several generations, and there have been many (mostly positive) changes and improvements made in Delaware’s favorite seaside resort over the years.
And we’re going to talk about one of those changes today, specifically as it relates to technology and your ability to keep up to date on everything that’s happening in and near the “Nation’s Summer Capital.”
Now we think we do a pretty good job of keeping everyone “in the know” about things that are happening here in coastal Delaware. But we also realize that we’re not the complete and total end-all for Rehoboth Beach news and information.
But what we’re seeing over the last few years here in the resort is a growing number of mobile applications, or “apps,” addressing everything from tourist and restaurant news, to shopping, ride shares and much more.
So today, we’re going to list a few of our favorite mobile apps that specifically cater to the greater Rehoboth Beach area. There are more than what we'll list here, to be sure. But these are a few of the larger ones, as well as some of our favorites.

Rehoboth In My Pocket – Brought to you by the notorious Rehoboth Foodie, this app for iPhone and Android users keeps you up to date on all of the great food-related news in Rehoboth Beach. So if you want to know where to find the best crab cake in town, or what new restaurants will be opening in time for the next summer season, this is a great app to have on your phone. It’s available at both the App Store and on Google Play for $3.99.
Park Mobile – When summer rolls around, the parking meters will return all up and down Rehoboth Avenue, as well as other main streets in the resort. Download the Parkmobile app today and pay your parking fees directly from your smartphone, and spend more time on the beach! It’s free and available for download at the App Store, on Google Play and at the Windows Store.
Rehoboth Beach Visitor's Guide – A good place to start if you're new to town, or just visiting, this mobile app will keep you up to date on all things happening in and around Rehoboth Beach. Examples include performances at the bandstand, events at the convention center, parking information and much more. It's free to download on both the App Store and on Google Play.
Get Out – With an emphasis on local entertainment, the Get Out app is managed by three local companies and provides up-to-date information on venues, performers, events, restaurants and much more. It’s free to download and is available at both the App Store and Google Play.
