Easy and enjoyable ways to add activity to your day

Here are some easy and enjoyable ways to add activity to your day.

  1. Take advantage of our beautiful area and take a walk on the beach or boardwalk.
  2. Hit the state park or junction trail for a bike ride.
  3. Take a walk and listen to your favorite podcast or audiobook, this is one of my preferred methods.
  4. Get up and walk around while on your phone calls, my mother adds quite a few steps to her day by doing this.
  5. Walk and talk in groups with your friends/neighbors, better yet if you can make this a daily habit.
  6. If you have a dog, they would appreciate all the walks you can give them.
  7. If you have kids, use this as a way to connect and recap their day when they get off the bus.
  8. In season, support our local merchants and get out to the farmers markets.
  9. Tie your walks to after each meal, great way to reduce blood sugar spike and help with digestion.
  10. Attend the many sip and shops or other pop up events around town.
  11. Take a walk around downtown Lewes or Rehoboth and window shop.
  12. Make your coffee date with friends a walking one.
  13. Try a new sport like pickle ball or play volleyball on the beach.
  14. Find a charitable organizations and donate your time, Humane animal partners is always looking for volunteer dog walkers.
  15. Make it a family ritual to walk together every night after dinner.
  16. Toss a ball or play catch with your kids while they wait for the bus in the morning.
  17. Go dancing with your partner if that's something you enjoy.

The little things add up and the more you can incorporate some of these activities into your daily life, the better you will feel.
