Events This Weekend in Delaware and Maryland
You'll definitely notice a theme today in our latest Weekender Blog and that, of course, is the Easter holiday. All throughout the region, there will be fun-filled family events for this early April holiday weekend.
Easter also means early Spring, which we hope equates to nicer weather and more opportunities to get outdoors and enjoy all that our special corner of the world has to offer.
This is certainly the case this weekend, from Ocean City north to the Delaware beaches and even across the state line into southeastern Pennsylvania.

Easter Art & Craft Show and Kids Fun Fair (April 7-8)
Grab the family this Easter weekend and head to the Roland E. Powell Convention Center in Ocean City for this fun-filled two-day event.
Scheduled to run from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., on both Friday and Saturday, this is actually two events in one, one centered around the kids and the other more focused on the grown ups in the crowd.
The kids fun fair will feature children's activities, contests and live entertainment that includes juggling shows, limbo contests, musical chairs and even an appearance from Beanny the Easter Bunny.
The nearby craft show will feature hundreds of unique gifts for both the inside and the outside of your home.
Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and $2 for members of the military, police departments and fire departments. Children under 3 are admitted for free.

Schellville Easter Eggstravaganza (April 8)
After a rainy day last Saturday, Schellville will again be party central this weekend as the event center will be holding a special Easter-themed event on Saturday, April 8.
Scheduled events and activities during daytime hours include balloon creations, face painting, appearances by the Easter Bunny, a sled hill and egg decorating.
For the adults in the evenings, there will be beer and wine choices on-site, as well as food trucks and live music.
Daytime hours are from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., and evening hours are scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m.

Lewes Canalfront Park Easter Bunny Bonanza (April 8)
The Easter Bunny himself will be arriving at Lewes Canalfront Park this Saturday, April 8, to kick start the 2023 Easter Bunny Bonanza.
Arriving at the park via a special ride from the Freedom Boat Club, the Big Bunny will be in the downtown area for the event that begins at 10:30 a.m.
Scheduled activities include egg painting, face painting, a "jelly in the belly" contest, a big selection of candy-filled Easter eggs and a whole lot more.
