Events This Weekend in Delaware and Maryland
We have a number of great events to tell you about for this final weekend of June, highlighted by a wild and wacky event in the resort of Dewey Beach that you really have to see in person to fully appreciate.
There are also a number of other great festivals and happenings on the calendar in towns and municipalities throughout the region.
Dewey Beach's version of the Running of the Bull is the highlight for this weekend, a one-of-a-kind event that shows up in our list of most popular annual events each and every year.

Running of the Bull (June 24)
This wild and wacky event has become one of the biggest of the summer in Dewey Beach over the years, with this year's run scheduled for the afternoon of Saturday, June 24.
Centered, as it is every year, on the Starboard in Dewey Beach, events begin at 11 a.m., with the Running of the Bull taking place on the beach beginning at 2 p.m.
This year, there will also be a Kids Bull Run in the morning, which begins at 10:30 on Saturday on Dagsworthy Street. Learn more about that here.

Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration (June 24)
Building on last week's successful event in Georgetown, the town of Lewes will be hosting this celebration of Juneteenth at George H.P. Smith Park on Saturday, June 24.
Scheduled for 1 to 6 p.m., this free event is organized by the Lewes African-American Heritage Commission in coordination with the City of Lewes, Lewes Parks and Recreation, and the Historic Lewes Farmers Market.
Scheduled activities include vendors, food trucks, live entertainment, and special remembrances.

Look Out Summer Festival (June 23-25)
This event will be held at Schellville in Rehoboth Beach over the three-day weekend of June 23-25.
A total of 10 great bands will be performing during the event, including Liquid Blue, Hot Sauce Band, Go Go Gadjet, and several more.
There will also be local artisans, face painting, cornhole, a mobile gaming truck, a swag shop, a silent disco, and much more.
