Join the Rehoboth Art League on Saturday, January 11 at 10am in the Corkran Gallery for a conversation with juror and judge of the 10th Regional Juried Photography Exhibition, Kathryn Harris, who will discuss her jurying process and award decisions, and speak to her experience as an artist.
"Photography has been a passion since childhood when at 12, I won an honorable mention in a national children’s magazine.
I decided to study judging as a means of improving my ability to ‘see’ more clearly to improve my photographic skills. I began the Judging Apprentice program with the Coastal Camera Club about ten years ago both to share this learning with fellow members and to improve the Club’s supply of member judges. Since then, over thirty folks have been through this program and become active judges in the Club’s competition process. This program is an ongoing learning since we all share informally judging each month’s competition and meet to both share our observations and to learn from each other. This sharing has been a wonderful learning process for myself and others.
