NICK COLIONNE, TO BE AWARDED "ARTIST OF THE YEAR AT THE REHOBOTH BEACH JAZZ FESTIVAL 2011"
Nick proudly adds the Rehoboth Beach Autumn Jazz Festival Artist of the Year Award to a significant list. He was honored with the prestigious 2007 International Instrumental Artist of the Year Award at the Canadian Wave Jazzwards, succeeding 2006 winner Chris Botti. He was nominated for the award again in 2009. He was nominated as Guitarist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year by the American Smooth Jazz Awards in 2010 and received the Wayman Tisdale Humanitarian Award for his ongoing commitment to mentoring children along with his work in the community and nationally in support of breast cancer causes. Nick’s appearance at the three weekend long Catalina JazzTrax Jazz Festival was named “Best Live Performance of 2010”. Nick will be appearing in many concerts during the Jazz Festival and will receive his award on the opening night event Wednesday October 12th. It is a fund raiser for Beebe Medical Center.
