Ry & Des Rhythm, Blues, Soul & Rock n’ Roll at The Room at Cedar Grove
Don’t miss a great night of music and mayhem featuring two old friends weaving in and out of rhythm and blues, soul, rock and roll! On February 18th, The Room at Cedar Grove will host a one-of-a-kind show featuring the talents of Deseree Spinks of Des and The Swagmatics and Ryan Gregg of The Shady Street Show Band. They will be performing a mix of original songs and covers that hold special meaning to them, many of which they don't get to perform regularly with their other projects. Both are seasoned performers and writers, having worked extensively with other acts across the country.
Ryan Gregg (piano player, singer, songwriter, composer, arranger producer & composer) ringleader for his original Rhythm & Roots outfit (The Shady Street Show Band) performing at The Ardmore Music Hall in December! Ryan shared the stage with Eric Lindell, Dana Fuchs, J.T. Bowen, Roosevelt Collier, Oteil Burbridge, The Lee Boys, Scott Sharrard, "Stormin" Norman Seldin, The Ocean Avenue Stompers, Melody Trucks, Soul Project Nola, Uncle Scotchy & Juke, Des & the Swagmatics, Jet Weston & the Atomic Ranch Hands, Matt O'Ree, Arlan Feiles, The Black Flamingos, The Billy Walton Band, and many others.
Deseree Spinks is a multi- instrumentalist and lead singer of Des & the Swagmatics is a three time Asbury Award winning performer! She began her career as a back up singer for DeSol and Captain James and the P.A.I.N. As a solo performer, she has had the honor of a residency in the Borgata and Sugarland casino, and singing with Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds, The North Mississippi Allstars, Spin Doctor’s Anthony Krizan, Glenn Burtnik, Bernard Purdie and Melody Trucks.
Deseree in her spare time is a vocal and piano instructor and loves spreading her love of music and inspiring young minds
