Winter Farmer’s Market, Art Expo, Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Planned for This Weekend in the Coastal Region
After a couple of weeks with not much going on in the way of local events and happenings, the coastal region kicks back into high gear this weekend with several great things to tell you about over the next few days.
Events between January 17 and January 20 are taking place in several different towns and municipalities throughout the coastal region, five of which we’re featuring in our latest “Weekender Blog,” brought to you every week by the real estate professionals at the Oldfather Group of Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International Realty.
So get out there this weekend and have a fantastic time here at the Delaware and Maryland beaches.
Now, without further ado, here are the Oldfather Group’s choices for community events taking place over the upcoming weekend in Delaware and Maryland’s coastal region.
We begin with a multi-day celebration honoring the legacy of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend Celebration (January 18-20). The life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., will be celebrated this weekend in the coastal region, with activities planned in several local communities.

Then on Monday, January 20, a holiday community worship service is scheduled for 10 a.m., at Dickerson Chapel AME Church in Millsboro.
The theme for this year’s MLK festivities is “Celebrating 100 Years of Women’s Suffrage: The Struggle Continues.”
