Possum Point Players’ summer production of “For Peter Pan on Her 70th Birthday” will be performed from Friday to Sunday, June 7 to 9, and June 14 to 16, in Possum Hall, 441 Old Laurel Road, Georgetown.
The five siblings in the play explore and question the choices of growing up or holding on to childhood. Spending farewell time with their aging father has the brothers and sisters taking a loving look at their family’s view of life, death and the allure of never growing up. Their reminiscence and speculation go from the family dinette in Davenport, Iowa, all the way to Neverland, with humor and some sparring along the way.
Friday and Saturday showtimes are at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m. Adult tickets are $27, and tickets for seniors and students 18 and under are $25.
Possum Point Players’ production is directed by Fenwick Island resident Lester Ferguson. Actors appearing are Lori Ann Johnson and Steven Perry of Rehoboth Beach, Lewes resident Dick Pack, Chuck Rafferty of Laurel, Gina Shuck of Dover and Michael Sites of Georgetown.
