Many returning entrants and new competitors converged on Fisherman's Beach in Rehoboth Aug. 3 to compete in the sandcastle summer tradition. The paths between the sculptures were packed as the sand artists created traditional castles, people and sea life. The skies threatened at times, but the contest got a pass from the weather. Spectators were still viewing them well past sunset.
