Adopt Kindness campaign lifts up moms in need

July 1, 2024

Project Kudos powered by Schell Brothers announced the success of the first phase of its Adopt Kindness campaign.

Focused on supporting mothers facing challenging times, the campaign brought community members together during April to ensure these moms felt appreciated and loved as Mother's Day approached.

"While many mothers are celebrated with gifts and affection from their loved ones, others experience immense sadness or financial difficulties that overshadow the joy of this special day. With Mother's Day just around the corner, our goal was to ensure every mom had a reason to smile, feel appreciated and know they are not alone," said Adelina Riddick, marketing specialist at Schell Brothers.

By rallying the community, Schell Brothers and its partners encouraged donations of new items that would bring a smile to a mom's face. In response, local business, neighbors, brand ambassadors and colleagues united to donate new items to uplift a mother's spirits. These gifts were collected at the Schell Brothers office and various partner locations.

With an initial target to assemble 100 gift boxes, the community's generosity and support resulted in enough items to put together nearly 200 boxes to help moms in need feel seen, valued, loved and supported during a time when they needed it most. Kindness boxes were delivered to Bayhealth labor and delivery, Children & Families First, and What Is Your Voice nonprofit.

The Schell Brothers team extends gratitude to everyone who contributed to this campaign. Kindness continues to make a significant impact.
