The Rehoboth Beach Museum will welcome back Rae Tyson and his popular memoir-writing classes at 10:30 a.m., Thursdays, April 4, 11 and 18. Tyson will guide attendees through the process of creating one of the most popular forms of writing. Writing memoirs can provide an opportunity to create a personal legacy for friends and family alike.
This new workshop will cover an array of advanced memoir-writing skills and will include writing one’s own obituary. No one is better qualified to write it.
Having completed the basic workshop at the museum would be helpful, but is not required.
Tyson is a local journalist who teaches memoir-writing courses at the University of Delaware's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute in Lewes.
The fee for the series is $20 for museum members, and $25 for nonmembers. Proceeds support museum programs. Reservations are required, and registration is limited. To save a spot, call 302-227-7310.
The museum is at 511 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach. Parking is available, and the museum is handicapped accessible.
