Andrew ‘Andy’ Welsh, business owner

Andrew "Andy" C. Welsh, 70, of Lewes, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at his residence. He was born Aug. 19, 1942, in Youngstown, Ohio, son of the late Andrew R. and Elizabeth (Osborne) Welsh.

Mr. Welsh enjoyed a long career in sales and marketing with Stanley-Bostich, formerly Bostich & Textron. In the mid-1990s he established his own independent manufacturers rep business, Welsh Associates. Mr. Welsh and his beloved wife Frances relocated to the beach in 2010.

Mr. Welsh proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era.

Mr. Welsh is survived by his wife of 39 years, Frances (Grymers) Welsh; his son, Charles Keith Welsh of Red Lion, Pa.; his daughter, Sydonie Walther of Stewartstown, Pa.; his grandson Benjamin Walther of Stewartstown; and his sister, Jean Timar and husband Nick of Cannfield, Ohio.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 25, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes. Interment with military honors will follow at 1 p.m., at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
