Andrew Feeley named executive chef of Bluecoast Seafood Grill
Scott Kammerer, president of SoDel Concepts in Rehoboth Beach, announced that Andrew Feeley has been named chef at Bluecoast Seafood Grill in North Bethany Beach, one of nine restaurants owned by the hospitality group.
A 2006 graduate of The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Feeley has worked at some of Delaware's most celebrated establishments, including the Hotel du Pont and Domaine Hudson, both in Wilmington, and Nage and Eden in Rehoboth Beach. He also worked at Deux Cheminees, a landmark French restaurant in Philadelphia, which was owned by the late Fritz Blank.
"We realize how fortunate we are to have a chef of this caliber in our flagship restaurant," said Doug Ruley, corporate chef for SoDel Concepts, which also owns Plate Catering, the food truck Big Thunder Roadside Kitchen, and hospitality management and consulting divisions. "Andy has developed a tremendous reputation – and for good reason. He's an unbelievably talented and a great leader in the kitchen. We're so pleased to have him on the SoDel Concepts team."
Feeley, a Wilmington native and a graduate of Salesianum High School, has been working at the beach for some time. "The Delaware coast has become my home," he said. "I love living and working here. I'm excited to be with SoDel Concepts, a company that affords me the opportunity to grow as a chef." Feeley lives in Milton with his wife and daughter.
