Angelucci Gallery and Artists' Studio to sponsor artists at Wine & Beer Festival Oct. 21

October 2, 2012

Ten of the area’s leading fine artists, sponsored by Angelucci Gallery and Artists’ Studios in Milford, will exhibit and sell their wares from noon to 5 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 21, at the Delaware Wine & Beer Festival to be held at the Delaware Agricultural Museum & Village in Dover.

The gallery is at 7 Park Ave. in Milford and features 30 local and regional artists who make pottery, jewelry, fine art, prints, photography, handcrafted jewelry and handcrafted baskets. The featured artists, all of whom show and sell their work at the studio, will set up shop for the day at the festival, including owners Scott Angelucci, fine woodworking, and his wife Gail, a custom stained glass artist.

Angelucci specializes in reproduction and one-of-a-kind pieces. He incorporates carving, intricate inlay, marquetry and complex joinery into his designs. Gail Angelucci's stained glass is designed and created by commission. Each piece of glass is carefully hand-selected to assure a perfect end result.

Some of the artists that will be featured include Pat Gelb, who hand builds porcelain; Steve Childers’ firewood wood-turned creations; Brandon Schaefer, who paints with watercolor and acrylics; and Elaine Pataky, who sculpts wire and semi-precious, glass and crystal beads into one-of-a-kind jewelry.

"We are pleased with the quality of artisans for this year's event," said Lorraine Dion, director of special events and public relations for event producer Kent County Tourism. "It fits well with this year’s theme, which is Drink Local, Eat Local, Buy Local, by pairing Delaware-made art with Delaware wines and beers. The fine arts pavilion provides a great opportunity to purchase gifts in time for the holiday gift-giving season."
