Anna E. Flynn, former Beebe worker
Anna E. Flynn, 60, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away at her home Saturday, April 16, 2016. She was born May 16, 1955, in Fort Meade, Md., daughter of Marcella (Griffith) Heck and the late Francis J. Heck Sr.
Anna attended Calvary Lutheran Christian School, Seton Junior High School, Northern High School, and she attended Essex Community College all in Baltimore, Md. For many years, Anna worked at Beebe Medical Center in nutritional services. She also worked for the Cape Henlopen School District as a monitor for autistic children with whom she truly loved working.
Anna attended and was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church of Baltimore. She was a member of Moose Lodge #646 in Lewes and the American Legion 17 in Lewes. She was a loving mother, daughter, aunt, sister and friend who will be missed dearly.
In addition to her father, Mrs. Flynn was preceded in death by her brother, Francis Joseph Heck Jr. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughters: Marcella Vaughn and her husband Charles of Smyrna, Anna Brown of Lewes, and Dorothy Jeppi of Wilmington; her grandchildren: Christina Ligameri of Wilmington, Justin Yates of Georgetown, Raven Ferrel of Lewes, James Longacre of Wilmington, Brianna Longacre also of Wilmington, and Brooke Smith and her husband Brendon of Bowers Beach; her great-granddaughter, Jy'annah Ligameri of Wilmington; her great-grandson, Jackson Smith of Rehoboth Beach; her sister, Kathy Schmale and her husband Matthew Sr. of Baltimore; her nephews: Jason Heck of Dunn, N.C., Matthew Schmale Jr. of Baltimore, and Francis J. Heck III of Neiger, N.C.; her nieces: Rachael Jameson of Baltimore, Md., Melanie Heck of Davenport, Fla., and Dylan Keil of Boston, Mass.; her great-nieces: Makayla Jameson and Rowan Jameson, both of Baltimore and Kairi Heck of Nieger; her grandnephew, Christopher Heck of Dunn; and Frank's beloved, Luann Kwiatkowski.
Memorial Services will be held at noon, Saturday, April 23, at Community Vision Fellowship Church, 34 King Ave., New Castle. The family will receive fellowship following the services. Interment will be private.
