Anna Zinzi, happy wife, homemaker

Anna Zinzi, 98, of Milton, died peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by love Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016. She was born Anna Labruzzo Aug. 28, 1917, in Queens, N.Y., to the late Giovanni and Antoinette (Diliberto) Labruzzo. In 1945 she married Louis A. Zinzi Jr. and spent many happy years as a wife, mother, and homemaker in the Bronx, N.Y., raising their two children. Anna and Louis were married for 30 years until his death in 1975.

In 1980, Anna moved to Duke Center, Pa., to be near her son, John, and his family. In 1986 she relocated again to Pembroke Pines, Fla. to be near family and the warm sunshine. In 2014, after almost 40 years of independent living, Anna moved once again to be near her son and his family, this time to his home in Milton. She spent her last 15 months in her family's loving care, and finally, also in the loving care of the staff of the Country Rest Home in Greenwood, where she passed gently and without sickness or pain.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Anna was predeceased by her brother, Jasper in 1997. Surviving are her daughter, Angela Korshoff of Pembroke Pines, Fla., and her son, John Zinzi and his wife Fiorina Zinzi of Milton. In addition to her two children, Anna leaves behind four grandchildren: Matthew (Shannon) Korshoff of Plantation, Fla., James (Nicole) Zinzi of Red Lion, Pa., Frank Korshoff of Hialeah, Fla. and Laura (Geoff) Howard of Milford; and nine great-grandchildren.

Anna's family gathered together near her final resting place for a private service to celebrate her long, loving life before she was interred next to her husband at Ferncliff Cemetery's Shrine of Memories in Hartsdale, N.Y..Together forever.
