Aquacare Physical Therapy hires Christine Connelly as pediatric specialist
Aquacare Physical Therapy announces Christine N. Connelly is the new pediatric physical therapy specialist in Millville. Connelly attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to obtain her bachelor of science in biology, and then continued her education at the University of South Carolina, graduating with her doctor of physical therapy in 2012.
During her schooling she specialized in pediatrics, and after graduation she worked at an outpatient clinic treating both the adult and pediatric populations. She assisted with the development of a pediatric program and facilitated its growth. Connelly was also able to gain experience in the acute care setting as her outpatient clinic was closely affiliated with a Level III trauma hospital.
Connelly and her husband Saunders (who is the new site director of the Lewes Aquacare Rehabilitation Services location) married in 2014 and afterward decided to pursue traveling physical therapy. They practiced in Washington, Oregon and Colorado, and were able to do extensive exploring throughout the continental United States during this time.
Connelly was able to continue developing her skills as a well-rounded clinician by treating both adult and pediatric clients in the home health setting. While both Connelly and Saunders thoroughly enjoyed traveling, they are now excited to make their permanent home at the Delaware seashore.
Connelly is a certified clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association and works with the International Paralympic Committee with paralympic swimming as a medical classifier for the athletes. She is excited to continue specializing in pediatrics as well as developing her manual and aquatic therapy skills.
Patients requiring treatment for developmental delay, birth defects or chronic illness, orthopedic conditions or other neurodevelopmental or motor skill deficiencies, can call 302-539-3110 to schedule a free 30-minute screening or an initial evaluation with Connelly.
