Aric Matthew Pringle, songwriter, musician

Aric Matthew Pringle, 39, died Thursday, June 2, 2011, in Newark.

Born in Sioux Falls, S.D., he later came to call Delaware home. He began playing guitar at 7, beginning a lifelong passion for music and songwriting. A gentle and kind-hearted spirit, Aric celebrated life through his love of family, friends, music, songwriting and photography. Aric always had time to talk to his many special friends and was always ready to grab his guitar for a jam or a new music project or his camera for a shoot. Aric touched many lives and will be truly missed.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy Polzin; father, Earl Pringle; brother Seth Polzin; sisters, Katie Sangster and Erin Pringle; grandfather, Wade Pringle; special Grandma Doris Thomas; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death grandparents, Marvin and Alma Polzin and Helen Pringle.

Celebrations of Aric’s life will be informal (beach casual dress) and held at: Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, Saturday, June 11, with visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. and Life Celebration at 2 p.m. and Milton Park bandstand/gazebo, Chandler Street, Milton, Sunday, June 12, from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. for a time to celebrate Aric’s life through sharing and music.  Musicians are invited to bring their instruments. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the National Alliance on Mental Illness/Delaware, Musicians with Disabilities, 2400 W. 4th Street, Wilmington, DE 19805.

For those who wish to send flowers, the family suggests a living plant.
