Author Chris Whitaker to appear at Lewes Elementary Oct. 11

October 11, 2024

Author Chris Whitaker will visit Lewes for a discussion and signing of his new novel, “All the Colors of the Dark,” at 6 p.m.,  Friday, Oct. 11. Hosted by the Lewes Public Library and Browseabout Books, the event will be held at the Lewes Elementary School auditorium, 820 Savannah Road, Lewes.

Whitaker will be in conversation with Maribeth Fischer, founder and executive director of Rehoboth Beach Writers Guild.

A soaring thriller that spans decades, “All the Colors of the Dark” is about a man fixated on finding a missing woman, and the FBI agent on his tail, who might be even more obsessed than he is. In 1975, girls are disappearing from the small town of Monta Clare, Mo., and when the daughter of a wealthy family is targeted, the most unlikely hero emerges in Patch, a local boy who saves the girl and leaves heartache in his wake. Whitaker’s engrossing novel is a missing person mystery, a serial killer thriller, and a love story, with a unique twist on each.

The event is free, and registration is required. To sign up, go to tinyurl.com/zoomwithauthors or call 302-645-2733.

Whitaker is the author of “Tall Oaks,” “All the Wicked Girls” and “We Begin at the End.” He lives in the United Kingdom.

Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
