Kevin Bacon is a very well known actor, appearing in many classic films during his career including Animal House, Footloose, Apollo 13 and Mystic River. He won a Golden Globe in 2010 for his role in the HBO film Taking Chance.

Michael, nine years older, has had a successful career as a composer for television and films.

During the show, the duo performed that night's version of a song Michael wrote called Tape It Up. He said the inspiration for the song came when he was watching his son play ice hockey and players and coaches often saying "tape it up" when referring to an injury. It's a song about being self-aware and humble, Michael said from stage.

Tape It Up is different at every show thanks to the contributions of one audience member each night. During this year's tour, the Bacon Brothers have held an online contest, where they encourage folks attending their shows to turn a funny or embarrassing story about themselves into a verse for the song. The winner gets to meet the band and have the band sing their verse during the song.
