Barbara Ann Hall, Delmarva Power retiree
Barbara Ann Hall, 77, passed away peacefully at her home in Frankford, Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015.
Barbara was born Jan. 3, 1938, in Dover, to the late Howard A. and Addie Katherine Jones Budd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Hall Jr. in 2003; and a grandson, John M. Dawson, in 2014.
After graduating from Middletown High School, Barb went to work for Delmarva Power & Light where she worked as a secretary for 17 years, and where she met Bill Hall, the love of her life. The two retired to Sussex County in 1985 and joined what was then Roxana Wesleyan Church. Barb has remained a faithful member of The River: A Wesleyan Church for almost 30 years.
Barb loved the Lord and enjoyed serving Him through His church. She had a number of hobbies including knitting, flower arranging, interior decorating and one of her favorite things was to visit Colonial Williamsburg.
Barb is survived by her stepdaughter, Debra Hall Dawson of Lewes; and her sister, Janet Lee Short (husband Jack) of Middletown and Rehoboth; as well as a niece and nephew, Terry and Chris.
A funeral and celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 27, at The River: A Wesleyan Church, 35175 Roxana Road, Frankford, where friends may visit one our prior. Interment will be held privately at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
