Bark on the Boards to benefit Brandywine Valley SPCA Oct. 19

Brandywine Valley SPCA will host its annual Bark on the Boards Block Party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand, Rehoboth Beach.

This BVSPCA community and fundraising event brings a day of exciting activities for the whole family to enjoy, pets and people alike. Activities include a dock dogs diving competition open to dogs in attendance, Bachelor Boys Band providing live music, drag show featuring Magnolia Applebottom, pet costume contest, pumpkin-carving/decorating contest, yoga with puppies, kids’ fun zone with games and crafts, vendor booths and adorable adoptables.

“Bark After Dark,” a comedy show featuring Aunt Mary Pat, will take place at 6 p.m., at The Pines in Rehoboth Beach. The separate, advance-ticketed event aims to extend the day of fun into the evening.

Attendees are encouraged to register now and start their online fundraising to help the nearly 50 animals per day that come through the BVSPCA doors seeking safety, love and hope. Also available now are registrations to secure a spot for yoga with puppies, and the costume and pumpkin-carving contests.
