Basket weaving workshop slated March 30 at Rehoboth Art League
Rehoboth Art League is offering a basket weaving workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, March 30.
Artist Heidi Wetzel will teach Basket Weaving: A Colorful Basket. Students will learn to weave with colorful reed and complete a beautiful basket. All tools and materials will be provided. All abilities are welcome. The cost of the all-day workshop is $80 per person.
Wetzel is an award-winning local fiber artist and basket weaver. As a teenager, she came from Germany to the United States, and she now lives and weaves in Easton, Md. Wetzel uses unique and indigenous materials, as well as materials she brings back from her many travels. Her work can be seen at many local studios.
