Beebe Center for Breast Health welcomes nurse practitioner

Beebe Healthcare recently announced Mimi Hilderley, MSN, FNP-BC, APRN, CNOR, has joined its Center for Breast Health team.

Hilderley is a nurse practitioner who provides specialized care for new and existing patients with focus on the treatment of both benign and malignant conditions of the breast. She addresses abnormal mammograms, breast lumps, breast pain, nipple discharge and breast infections, and also supports patients in need of postoperative and follow-up care.

Hilderley also advocates for breast cancer prevention and surveillance, and helps patients understand their risk based on their personal and family history, and overall breast health.

Most recently, Hilderley served as an advanced practice registered nurse at NutriHealth in Georgetown, where she practiced obesity medicine for adolescents and adults. Throughout her career, she has cared for patients on cardiac, thoracic, vascular surgery, women’s health, breast surgery, pediatric surgery, endoscopy, general surgery and plastic surgery units in New York; Tampa, Fla.; and Tucson, Ariz.

Hilderley is certified as an advanced practice registered nurse in both Delaware and Florida. She is a certified operating room nurse and is a member of the Delaware Coalition of Nurse Practitioners.

Hilderley earned a two bachelor of science degrees, one in in nursing from Utica College in Liverpool, N.Y., and another in biology from Binghamton University in Vestal, N.Y. She completed her master of science degree to become a family nurse practitioner at South University in Tampa.

Outside of work, Hilderley enjoys traveling, relaxing on the beach, playing tennis, gardening and cooking.
