Beebe taking over former Weis on Route 1

Beebe Healthcare has recently executed a long-term lease for the former Weis Markets building in the Rehoboth Marketplace Shopping Center on Route 1 at Miller Road.

Beebe intends to convert the building for use as medical offices, population health services, and materials management and warehousing.

“As the health system that has been taking care of Sussex County for over 100 years, Beebe’s sole focus remains on serving the healthcare needs of those who live, work, visit and seek care in our rapidly growing community,” said Beebe Healthcare spokesman Ryan Marshall. “This expansion of both services and healthcare access points for our community is a key component of our recently released five-year strategic plan, which places emphasis on providing superior access and experience, ensuring we are patient-centric in all that we do, that we are working in a way that is sustainable and agile, that we are the best at our core services, and that we are the employer and provider partner of choice.”

The former grocery store space is between Michy’s Relaxed Dining and Concord Pet Foods & Supplies.
