Beebe welcomes psychiatrist Rebecca Montana
Beebe Healthcare recently announced psychiatrist Rebecca Montana, MD, has joined its medical staff.
At Beebe Behavioral Health Lewes, Montana provides psychiatric care for individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions and treats patients of various ages, from young adults to seniors.
“I am proud to be part of Beebe’s Behavioral Health department and to have an opportunity to provide comprehensive mental health care for the community,” said Montana. “I am surrounded by an excellent network of experienced health professionals.”
Montana earned her medical degree from the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, where she remained to complete her residency training within the department of psychiatry. During that time, she served as co-president for the Jefferson Psychiatry Society and for the organization's chapter of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
Montana also provided psychiatric care at the Jefferson University East Falls Student Counseling Center, and for the Emotional Health and Wellness Program, caring for Jefferson University Hospital resident trainees. She served as a psychiatric clinical consultant for primary care providers at the Mazzoni Center Youth Drop-In Clinic, which offers services for LGBTQ+ adolescents and young adults.
Earlier in her career, Montana worked as a clinical research coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital’s Bipolar Clinic and Research Program in Boston, and as a clinical psychology research assistant at McLean Hospital’s Behavioral Health Partial Hospital Program in Belmont, Mass.
Outside of work, Montana enjoys exploring Sussex County, especially the Delaware beaches and state parks, and spending time with family and friends.
