Blue Noah-August Evans, loved playing sports
Blue Noah-August Evans, born Aug. 8, 2004, went to be with our Lord Thursday, Feb. 17, after a tragic car accident at the young age of 17. Blue was born and raised in Dover, was a senior at Dover High School, and was employed with Food Lion in Dover as a cashier.
Blue was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents Matthew and Katherine Jendrzejewski, his paternal great-grandmother Gracie Evans, his maternal grandfather Tom Garfield, and his maternal great-uncle Kenn Lucas.
Blue is survived by his parents, Adrienne and Jerry Evans; maternal grandmother, Irene Garfield; paternal grandparents Richard and Rena Mae Dean; four siblings, Patrick Garfield (Jackie), Caleb Evans, Jeremiah Evans, and Josiah Evans; two nieces; one nephew; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends, and the family dog, an Akita named Apollo Creed.
Blue had a huge love for sports that included tons of energy and God-given talent which led to his participation in numerous organizations over the years. These organizations include Pop Warner Football with the Dover CR Raiders and the Milford Harrington Spartans, school football with Early College High School at Delaware State University and with the First State Military Academy, basketball with the City of Dover and Holy Cross CYO, travel baseball with the Delaware Warriors and the First State Hornets, and Little League baseball with Milford, Camden, and Dover Little Leagues. Blue also played soccer and basketball for Campus Community when he was in middle school.
Throughout his short life, Blue had a strong spiritual foundation and loved the Lord with his whole heart. This brought about compassion, unconditional love, and kindness toward others given without a second thought. He was abundantly loved and will be truly missed!
