Bob Burton joins Oldfather Group

March 21, 2015

The Oldfather Group of Ocean Atlantic Sotheby's International Realty, with main offices in Rehoboth Beach, announces the addition of Lewes native Bob Burton to its growing team of southern Delaware real estate professionals.

A 1974 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School and an early graduate of the now Jack F. Owens Campus of Delaware Technical & Community College, Burton worked most of his career in the government contracting industry in the Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area and earned a real estate license upon moving back to his native Delaware in 2012.

Burton is a skilled communicator and negotiator, having worked for many years on federal government program proposals. He also worked hand-in-hand with Department of Defense officials for nearly four decades before embarking on his new career as a First State Realtor.

“I'm 61 now, and it's a lot to pick up, but I feel like I'm on a special team in the Oldfather Group, and I'm looking forward to this new career in real estate,” says Burton. “I grew up in Lewes, and my parents still live here, so I know the area well, and I feel like I can offer a great deal of knowledge and commitment to my clients.”

After working for more than a year at another real estate firm, Burton made the switch earlier this month to the Oldfather Group, now statistically one of the top real estate offices in Sussex County in terms of volume.

Headquartered in Rehoboth Beach, the Oldfather Group specializes in real estate sales throughout coastal Delaware, including Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach, Bethany Beach and Fenwick Island. Burton may be reached at 302-227-6767.
