Caesar Rodney SAR awards scholarship to Cape graduate
The Caesar Rodney Chapter of the Delaware Sons of the American Revolution recently awarded its annual scholarship to Ashley Rose Carrier.
The scholarship was awarded based on academic achievement, leadership activities, community service, involvement in sports-related programs and/or other extracurricular activities. The award is given to a high school senior in Sussex or Kent county, or to an active member’s child or grandchild who meets these criteria.
Ashley, the daughter of Samantha and Christopher Carrier of Milton, is a graduate of Cape Henlopen High School. A model student-athlete, she achieved a GPA of 4.17.
The Sons of the American Revolution members honor their Revolutionary War patriot ancestors by promoting patriotism, serving their communities, and educating and inspiring future generations about the founding principles of this country.
