CAMP Rehoboth Block Party to rock Baltimore Avenue Oct. 20

October 14, 2024

CAMP Rehoboth will host its annual Block Party celebration from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 20, on the second block of Baltimore Avenue in downtown Rehoboth Beach.

Entrance is free and CAMP Rehoboth invites all community members to attend. Festivities include a variety of performances, and offerings from dozens of vendors including artists, craftspeople, nonprofits and small businesses. Attendees can expect to shop sea glass art, ceramics, photography and body care, and learn more about local causes and companies.

Throughout the day, performances will take place mid-block at the CAMP Rehoboth stage. The entertainment is headlined by Rehoboth Beach’s own Roxy Overbrooke. Overbrooke has hosted the Block Party for the last two years, and will perform for both the opening and closing slots at the CAMP Rehoboth stage. Other entertainers include the Clear Space Theatre Company, CAMP Rehoboth Chorus Alliance singers, Off 24, Goldstar, and for the first time this year, Millsboro-based fire performer Sible Sible Stackhouse.

Block Party co-chairs Chris Beagle and Michelle Manfredi see the event as a vehicle to share CAMP Rehoboth’s mission with the wider community.

“In the truest sense of the word, the Block Party personifies community,” said Beagle. “From its inception, it has been CAMP Rehoboth's largest and most diverse outreach event, embracing not only the Rehoboth community but the southern Delaware region as well, demonstrating our mission to promote cooperation and understanding among all people with room for all.”

Manfredi said, “When you see the block filled with all types of families from the communities, you feel the true meaning of CAMP Rehoboth.”

Throughout the event, the second block of Baltimore Avenue is closed to parking. Pedestrian entrance is accessible through intersections at First Street and Baltimore Avenue, Second Street and Baltimore Avenue, and from Rehoboth Avenue through the Rehoboth Mews or Village by the Sea entryways. Parking is free.
