Southern Delaware Chorale’s Candlelight Concert: Midnight Mass offered an enchanting symphony of melodies that captivated the audience Dec. 1-2 at Epworth United Methodist Church near Rehoboth.
Members of the chorale showcased their mastery under the skilled direction of their conductor Dr. Colin Armstrong.
“I wanted to try to create an immersive experience for the audience,” he said. “In this case, singing along by candlelight brings everyone into the experience.”
The Dec. 1 concert ended early when one of the members experienced a medical emergency onstage and the audience was ushered out.
Southern Delaware Chorale is a nonprofit that has been in existence for more than 35 years. They practice in Georgetown and perform at Epworth United Methodist Church. The vision at Southern Delaware Chorale is to become a leading musical performance group, recognized for commitment to promoting creativity, artistic expression and cultural exchange.
